LO4: Final product

LO4: Drafts of film trailer

Draft #1

In this draft it was our first time filming so our footage was quite rushed and we did not have the props we needed in order to meet what we wanted in our trailer. Also the editing was not up to scratch
.
Draft #2

In this draft we used our reshot footage in order to meet what we expected from our first plan and draft. We had better props as well to make it look more legitimate and we used more editing techniques compared to our first draft.

Draft #3

In our final draft we experimented with music in order to give the trailer a tone and overall feel. We gave the scenes more pacing to them in order to give the trailer a more intense tone. This is pretty much our completed product however we still had audio bugs to fix.

Me editing

At 0:10 till 0:20 you can see that i have added an adjustment layer to the trailer. What this adjustment layer does is that it turns the selected area into black and white and it also adds letter boxes to the trailer. The reason I chose to do this was beacuse
t.

At 0:25 till 0:42 you can see that i used the pen tool in multiple scenes. I did this in order to adjust certain scenes audio levels so that they are suitable for a viewer watching. i noticed that certain scenes had very loud audio so i quickly corrected them by adjusting them to other scenes levels.

At 0;46 till 1:40 i used the razor tool in order to cut scenes together in order to have scenes follow on from each other. This allowed me too create jump cuts so that the trailer does not become boring for a viewer watching and gives the trailer a fast pace. I chose to give the scene a fast pace as it helped to build tension for the viewer.

In total i have edited half of every scene in my trailer as there are only 2 people in my group (including myself) so we have both done an equal amount of work .

LO3: Footage log

2nd Footage log of re filmed footage

LO3: Evidence of filming

LO3: Rushes

All rushes are in this one video

0:00 - 1:26  Establishing shot of surrey street. This shot will be able to be used as this will be used for our first establishing shot but the shot will not be used in its entirety as it would be much too long so we will have to shorten it down for the establishing shot in the trailer.

1:27 - 1:37 Protagonist walks past camera the 1st take of this was way far zoomed out and it also showed camera equipment therefore we wont be using this particular shot in our trailer.

1:37 - 1:40 Take 2 of this shot was alot better as it was zoomed in and shows alot more of the protagonist feet which is what we initially wanted but still showed the camera equipment in the background this may be possible to edit out but otherwise it will not be usable because of this.

1:41 - 1:50 this shows the protagonist walking towards the antagonist in the tunnel this shot is usable as the lighting in the shot was good and the tracking shot followed the protagonist in a smooth way but we may re film it in order to stabilize the camera

2:00 - 2:22 this shot will not be usable due to the fact that the lighting is too dark on the protagonist and the audio is too washed out and therefore not clear for a viewer. we will be re filming this scene

2:24 - 2:46 this is the protagonist speaking to the antagonist this shot will be usable as you can clearly hear the dialogue being spoken and the lighting is much brighter

2:48 - 3:15 these are establishing shots of the tunnel these will not be usable in our trailer as the camera is not stable and the video is warped so we will have to re film these scenes

3:18 - 3:36 these shots will be usable as it shows clearly that both characters  are leaving the tunnel after their conversation although we may re film it where the antagonist is wearing  different clothes to appear more sinister

3:39 - 3:58 these shots will be usable as they smoothly follow the protagonist as he enter the car park

4:07 - 4:29 - the wide shot of these 2 scenes is usable as the camera is stable and is clear what the protagonist is doing. While the close up is not usable as the camera is not usable as the camera isn't stable and the video is warped

4:32 - 4:57 - for these shots we were only testing the movements of the actor and the gun so we wont be using these shots we will re film them when we have our intended prop

4:59 - 5:06 - this tracking shot will not be usable as it is out of focus for a long duration

5:07 - 5:17 - this shot will not be usable as it is out of focus for a long duration

5:18 - 5:23 - this shot could be usable as it is unstable but it is inly subtle so it may be able to be edited out

5:24 - 5:28 - this shot will be usable as it is in focus throughout, the lighting is good and the camera is not

5:30 - 5:33 - this shot of the protagonist speaking on the phone will not be useable as you can see reflections of pedestrians in the phone and we didn't want this too be visible in the reflections

5:34 - 5:36 - for this shot of the phone being picked up this will be usable as the lighting in the phone box is good and the video is not warped

5:38 - 5:56 - for this shot of the protagonist speaking to the antagonist on the phone the shot would be usable but once again the

5:57 - 6:21 - what we were doing here was that we were using the camera microphone to record the dialogue off the protagonist but we had to get close for the dialogue to be much clearer so when we are editing the trailer we will only use the audio off that scene so in a sense it is usable.
